About the USS New Jersey (SSN-796) Support Organization
Born from the legacy of the original Commissioning Committee, the USS New Jersey (SSN-796) Support Organization carries forward the proud responsibility of sustaining the connection between the submarine, her crew, and the citizens of the great state of New Jersey.
While the ceremonial commissioning marked a formal milestone in September 2024, our mission is far from complete. As long as there are sailors aboard SSN-796, we remain steadfast in our duty to support their morale, celebrate their service, and ensure they feel the unwavering gratitude of those they defend.
Our organization provides meaningful support through care packages, awards, event coordination, family outreach, and recognition initiatives. We are a bridge between the submarine’s crew — over 130 strong — and the communities, companies, and citizens who want to stand behind them.
